VANTAGE
Capture

Capture starts with the people who do the work

Implicit knowledge capture at scale. We interview your domain experts on the work they do and turn it into a context map your AI systems can understand

Capturing specific domain knowledge is the first step to reimagining how work gets done

Why context matters

Context is to your AI systems what experience is to your people

Many processes don't have any documentation today. People in the enterprise have been doing the work for years, so they know how it's done, but that knowledge only lives in the heads of the experts

Where context lives

In your systems

Your ERP, CRM, and payroll record what happened: orders, customers, invoices, hours. AI can already read these through the connections you have

Already within AI's reach

In your documents

Policies, contracts, process notes, and email hold what someone once wrote down. They are scattered, often out of date, and rarely the whole story

Partly within AI's reach

In your people’s heads

How the work actually gets done: the workarounds, the judgement calls, the client who always needs a phone call first. It is what makes your company different, and no system holds it

Out of AI's reach
How we work

Capture turns what your people know into context your AI can use

We talk to all of your teams and turn implicit knowledge into explicit context readable by AI, kept current in Compound, Vantage's Context Platform

/01 Scoping with your leadership team
We agree what is in scope

We agree which workflows are in scope, who owns each one, and what your AI should be able to do with the result

/02 Workforce conversations
We talk to the people who do the work

Selected employees talk to our AI interviewer in under an hour about how their work runs, where they look things up, and what they ask most

/03 Process mapping
We map how the work really happens

The conversations become process maps: who does what, which systems they touch, and where decisions and exceptions sit, alongside the questions people ask most

/04 Context layer, first version
We write your context layer

Your processes, terms, decision rights, and where each answer lives become one structured context layer. Each process owner corrects their part before anything goes live

/05 Validation and handover
We prove it works

We test your context layer against the questions your people need answered most and share the results, together with a prioritised list of workflows to automate. Compound keeps it current from there

What you get

A first version of your context layer, built from how the work really runs

Context layer

A first version of your context layer

Holding what your company knows, how the work gets done, and what was decided and why. Connected to your live systems, approved by each owner, and tested against your most asked questions

Process maps

A clear view of how your business really runs

Every process in scope mapped step by step, showing where work stalls, where teams do the same thing differently, and where the business depends on a few people's knowledge

AI opportunities

A prioritised list of workflows to automate

Every workflow in scope ranked on evidence: the hours spent on it, how often it comes up, and how much your context layer can carry. You know what to automate first, and why

Capture, then Compound

Capture builds your context layer. Compound keeps it current

Capture builds a deep understanding of how your business runs: the processes, the implicit knowledge, the logic behind the work. Compound takes that context, operationalises it, and keeps it current

Questions and answers

/01 We already have process documentation. Why would we run this?

Documents hold what someone once wrote down, and they are often out of date. Capture starts from how your people actually do the work today, checks it against what is written, and has each process owner confirm the result. What your AI receives is the current way of working, including the exceptions nobody documented

/02 What does it cost?

A fixed fee, agreed before we start. It is scoped to the number of processes and people in scope, and we share it on the call

/03 What does it cost us in our people’s time?

Well under an hour per employee, at a time that suits them, plus a short review for each process owner. From you we need a roster of employees to interview, read access to the systems and folders in scope, and someone on the management team to explain the project to your people

/04 Who gets interviewed, and who does the interviewing?

A roster you approve, across the teams that run the processes in scope. The interviews are run by our own AI interviewer: a spoken conversation in Dutch or English that follows what the person says rather than a form, which is what makes hundreds of conversations possible. We add live conversations with your management team and process owners to check what the interviews show

/05 What happens to what our people tell the interviewer?

We use it to describe how the work runs, never to assess individuals. Nothing is attributed to a named person, and each process owner approves what goes into the context layer before anything goes live

/06 Do we need Compound afterwards, or can we take the context layer with us?

The context layer is yours, in a form that works outside our tooling and with the AI assistants you already use. Context goes stale as the business changes, so most of its value depends on keeping it current. That is what Compound does, and you decide whether we run it or you do
